We never thought that we would stop wearing our old trusty skinny jeans but yet here we are. This A/W18 jeans are now more experimental than ever. So it’s time to say goodbye to summer and mom Jeans and say hello to Autumn and a new jeans trend.
When shopping for jeans atm, think straight leg or wide leg in all colours and patterns - basically any jeans that aren’t skinny. Designers, street brands and also celebrities are jumping onto this new jeans trends wagon.
So carry on reading if you want to find out what the top jeans trends for AW/18 are.
High rise with a straight leg
This is a trend you won’t be able to escape this season. Straight leg jeans are everywhere and it seems they are here to stay. This 90s trend should sit high on your waist and fall to a straight-leg silhouette. They can be dressed up with a silky shirt for work or pair with a mesh top and some trainers if you want to rock them to the club.
Denim company Re/Done have teamed their straight leg jeans with another Autumn 2018 trend, an animal print jacket.
Re/Done have collaborated with infamous jeans brand Levi’s, this new fit is like the Levi’s 505, but straighter and longer.
Tip: check your mums closet, you’ll find a lot of fashion pearls.
Cropped Bootcut jeans
This new take on the classic bootcut jeans sees them being brought up a few inches into a cropped bootcut style. Catherine Holstein of Khaite introduced cropped boot-cut jeans that look great when worn with white low pumps. Let’s welcome elegance into a jeans world.
This new trend is flattering and fit for every type of gal. Wide leg jeans are the comfiest of the jeans family. They come in every colour you can imagine and the relaxed fit is surprisingly really flattering. Topshop have some rad options if you don’t know where to start with this trend.
Pair with a vintage tee and some combat boots for a cool retro look.
Think workwear trousers but with a modern updated look. Cargo jeans feature eye-catching contrasting pockets - and lots of them, perfect for when you don’t want to take a handbag out. Plus they look good on both genders too.
Patterns are on every garm this season. So now is defo the time to get your hands on some printed jeans. It’s a trend even celebs are rocking; Hailey Baldwin wore a Versace logo head-to-toe jeans combo and in Not3s’ new music video ‘Just Fine’ he wore a pair of monogram jeans from Louis Vuitton.
If Louis Vuitton is a lil bit too pricey, check out some inspired looks:
If bold patterns are a little bit out of your comfort zone why not wear a plain coloured tee or jumper with your jeans for a low-key fun look.
Bye bye sequins and glitter, hello print and pattern.
